Christie Jackson began working with Creative Family Solutions in December 2013. Christie is a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. She is also a Board Approved LPC supervisor. Christie has a BA in psychology from Loyola University and an M. Ed. in Counselor Education from the University of New Orleans.
Christie often works from a cognitive behavioral approach and enjoys working with a variety of clients. She has experience with individuals, groups, and family counseling as well as extensive experience with clients involved in the criminal justice system.
Christie resides in St. Charles Parish with her husband and their two children.
Melissa Thielman has been employed as the Office Specialist at Creative Family Solutions since October 2004. She coordinates all intakes that come in to the agency and handles all accounting responsibilities. Melissa is very knowledgeable of Quickbooks, Excel, PMA and Word documents.
Melissa lives in Luling with her husband, Tim, and their three children, Taylor, Madison and Connor.
Marlin Rogers is a lifelong resident of St. Charles Parish. He has been employed by the St. Charles Parish District Attorney’s Office for the past twelve years. Marlin serves on the board to assist with the needs of our community.
Kerrah Fabacher began working at Creative Family Solutions in July 2013. She was born and raised in Louisiana. She attended Louisiana State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. Kerrah also attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling.
Kerrah is a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Kerrah works with individuals, families, and couples on many issues, but focuses on trauma counseling, working specifically with women, adolescents and children who have been sexually, physically, or emotionally abused.
Kerrah lives in River Ridge, Louisiana, with her husband and two children.
Ashley Trosclair is the Clinical Director at Creative Family Solutions and has been a counselor there since August 2008. She earned her Master of Arts Degree in Psychological Counseling from Nicholls State University in 2005.
Ashley is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is also certified as a Nationally Certified Counselor. Her expertise is working with adolescents and juveniles in the juvenile justice system and working closely with surrounding agencies in the community. Ashley is a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association and also serves on the Success by 6 Committee and the Healthy Communities Committee through the United Way of St. Charles.
Ashley currently resides in St. Charles Parish with her husband and two children.
Edie Sirmon is a resident of St. Charles Parish. She is a retired educator of thirty-seven years serving as teacher, reading specialist, administrative assistant and principal at the elementary level.
Edie serves on the board because, as principal, she had seen firsthand the effectiveness of the programs for children and families.
Sara Lyon LPC RYT began working for Creative Family Solutions in 2010 and again in 2013. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association, and a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. Sara completed her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and Counseling Education from the University of Colorado and obtained her Yoga Teacher Training from Yogi Baba Hari Dass at the Mount Madonna Center in California.
Sara is a dedicated professional, helping others improve their lives through education, insight, and reflection. Her therapeutic orientation is Existential and Humanistic. As a therapist and Yoga instructor, she works to help individuals and families actualize their personal potential through problem-solving techniques, emotional reflection, interpersonal communication and yoga.
Sara is originally from Denver, Colorado and resides in St. Charles Parish with her husband and two children.
Shirley Sims is a resident of St. Charles Parish. She is the executive director of Alpha Daughters of Zion Outreach Center for victims of domestic violence and is on staff at First Baptist Church in Paradis. Shirley is retired from Entergy Operations.
She loves working with the public and serves on the board to provide support services for our community.
Creative Family Solutions
Eric Dishongh began serving as the Executive Director for Creative Family Solutions in 2011. As a life-long resident of St. Charles Parish, Eric views his involvement with Creative Family Solutions as an opportunity to make a positive difference in the community.
Eric is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a PhD in marriage and family therapy. He has an "appreciative" approach to counseling which focuses on client strengths, not weaknesses. Eric is a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association and has conducted several professional presentations.
Eric currently resides in Luling, Lousiana, with his wife, Mitzi, and two children, Brayden and Breanna.
