Sara Lyon, LPC, RYT joined Creative Family Solutions in 2010. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a member of the American Counseling Association, and a Certified Yoga Instructor registered with Yoga Alliance.
Sara is a dedicated professional actively involved in the community helping others improve their lives through education, yoga, and mental health. Sara is Existential and Humanistic with expertise using mindfulness-based cognitive therapies, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and trauma informed modalities. As a therapist and Yoga instructor, she works to help individuals and families self-actualize. Sara's passion and focus includes working with incarcerated individuals and re-entry services, adult behavior modification, as well as individual, family, group and couples therapy. She is a Certified Wilderness Educator, has previous experience working in Child Protective Services Emergency Response and Fatality investigation, Multi-Systemic Therapies, and has presented nationally on child abuse.
Sara is originally from Denver, Colorado and received her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and Counseling Education through the University of Colorado in 2003.
Sara resides in St. Charles Parish with her husband and two children.
Eric Dishongh began serving as the Executive Director for Creative Family Solutions in 2011. As a life-long resident of St. Charles Parish, Eric views his involvement with Creative Family Solutions as an opportunity to make a positive difference in the community.
Eric is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a PhD in marriage and family therapy. He has an "appreciative" approach to counseling which focuses on client strengths, not weaknesses. Eric is a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association and has conducted several professional presentations.
Eric resides in St. Charles Parish with his wife and children.
Kerrah Fabacher began working at Creative Family Solutions in July 2013. She was born and raised in Louisiana. She attended Louisiana State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. Kerrah also attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling.
Kerrah is a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Kerrah works with individuals, families, and couples on many issues, but focuses on trauma counseling, working specifically with women, adolescents and children who have been sexually, physically, or emotionally abused.
Kerrah lives in St. Charles Parisg with her husband and children.
Ashley Trosclair is the Clinical Director at Creative Family Solutions and has been a counselor there since August 2008. She earned her Master of Arts Degree in Psychological Counseling from Nicholls State University in 2005.
Ashley is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is also certified as a Nationally Certified Counselor. Her expertise is working with adolescents and juveniles in the juvenile justice system and working closely with surrounding agencies in the community. Ashley is a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association and also serves on the Success by 6 Committee and the Healthy Communities Committee through the United Way of St. Charles.
Ashley currently resides in St. Charles Parish with her husband and two children.
Creative Family Solutions
Melissa Thielman has been employed as the Office Specialist at Creative Family Solutions since October 2004. She coordinates all intakes that come in to the agency and handles all accounting responsibilities. Melissa is very knowledgeable of Quickbooks, Excel, PMA and Word documents.
Melissa lives in Luling with her husband, Tim, and their three children, Taylor, Madison and Connor.
Brianne joined the Creative Family Solutions staff in 2017, but previously worked with CFS as a student counselor intern from 2014-2015. She is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association. Brianne earned her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans and previously worked in New Orleans counseling at-risk youth and their families. Brianne also has experience presenting for professional counseling conferences and has received awards for her service and clinical skills.
Brianne prefers a more relaxed and casual approach to counseling. She strives to ensure a trusting, healthy therapeutic relationship with her clients- working from a combined Attachment Theory and Structural Family Therapy perspective. As a strengths-based counselor, she prefers to inspire change by building on hope and strengths. Brianne also often incorporates play and/or art into her sessions, especially with children and adolescents.
Along with her husband and son, Brianne is a life-long resident of Kenner.
